We had a great day, a good turn out and were blessed by lovely weather. We try to make it a family event and encourage competitors to bring their partners and children.

We always have a mobile “Kitchen” which, independently, sells bacon, egg and sausage baps, hot drinks, etc.

The Judges were Derek Capel, Tom West, Kerry Morton and Chris Warner. 56 dogs ran over a total of four tests with two exercises to each.
A long mark and a blind, both in long grass in an open field.

A long mark distraction over a dry stone wall and a blind. Both in woodland. The blind being picked first.

A long mark over two fences and when the dog was returning a second shot was fired and a dummy thrown between the two fences for the second retrieve.

A long mark in water and through rushes to the other side of thewater and a blind for the second retrieve on the edge of the water. The dogs being sent from an open field. This retrieve proved the most difficult – causing several failures.

The results were as follows:

1st : Malcolm Stringer G.R. “Tamdhu”
2nd: Steve Newitt Lab. “Sky”
3rd: Lynne Stringer G.R. “Fiddich”
4th: John Bracher Lab. “Amber”
